Srinagar, the heart of Kashmir, is home to the famous Dal Lake, where you can glide across the water on a shikara and see life on the traditional houseboats. The Mughal gardens, Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh, offer stunning views and peaceful surroundings.
Gulmarg is a favourite for snow lovers, known for skiing, snow activities and the famous Gulmarg Gondola. Pahalgam is a green paradise of valleys, rivers and forests, while Sonamarg, the "Meadow of Gold", is known for its glaciers and dramatic mountain scenery.

Arrival in the summer capital
Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, sits on the banks of the Jhelum River, surrounded by the Himalayas. After pick-up and check-in, take it easy and settle into the rhythm of the valley. The city's highlight is Dal Lake with its traditional houseboats, and its famous Mughal gardens are full of fountains, flowers and quiet corners.

Snow, slopes and the Gondola
Gulmarg is famous for its breathtaking mountain scenery and snow-covered landscapes. Try skiing and snow activities, or go sledding down the slopes for pure fun. Meadow of gold
Sonamarg, meaning "Meadow of Gold", is one of the most picturesque places in Kashmir, full of green meadows, sparkling streams and towering mountains. See the spectacular Thajiwas Glacier, then head towards the dramatic Zoji La Pass. At Zero Point, you'll be surrounded by snow and the magnificent high Himalayas.

Gardens, shrines and a shikara ride
Start with the hilltop Shankaracharya Temple and its panoramic views of Srinagar and Dal Lake. Visit the serene Hazratbal Dargah on the lakeshore, then wander through the terraced Mughal gardens of Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh. End the day with a relaxing shikara ride across Dal Lake, past houseboats, floating gardens and everyday Kashmiri life.
